HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A chief of staff is coming on board at the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office.

Attorney General Kathleen Kane announced Tuesday that Blake Rutherford will start as her top aide next week.

The 36-year-old Philadelphian has worked as a lawyer, communications director, chief of staff to the Arkansas attorney general and for the McLarty Companies. His wife, Jessica Dean, is a TV news anchor in Philadelphia.

Kane’s also bringing on Mike Stefan as legislative director and Cathryn Hinesley as an assistant press secretary.

Acting communications director Renee Martin is returning to education and outreach director duties. Kane says she’s picked a new communications director and will disclose details after the hiring process is completed.

Chief operating officer David Tyler is leaving for a job outside the attorney general’s office.
