ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - Keon Moore scored 17 points, Keon Johnson added 14 and Winthrop rolled past Division II Mars Hill for a 96-51 victory on Tuesday night.

The Eagles (4-4) shot 52.4 percent from the field and out-rebounded Mars Hill 49-34. Derrick Henry chipped in nine points, while Tevin Prescott and Xavier Cooks finished with seven points and 10 rebounds apiece.

Mars Hill was held to 18-of-60 shooting and committed 25 turnovers, leading to 30 points for Winthrop. Patrick Monroe paced the Lions with 17 points and Isaiah Cuthbertson had six with nine boards.

Winthrop closed the first half with a 26-9 run sparked by two free throws, two layups, a jumper and dunk from Moore. Winthrop led by 22 at halftime and coasted as Mars Hill couldn’t pull closer than 19 the rest of the way.

The Eagles outscored Mars Hill 46-18 in the paint and had 14 second chance points.
