WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Wake Forest sophomore guard Miles Overton plans to transfer after the fall semester.

First-year coach Danny Manning said in a statement that Overton requested and received his release Tuesday. Overton, a Philadelphia native, says it’s a tough decision to leave Wake Forest but he feels it’s best to “continue my career closer to home.”

The 6-foot-4 reserve played in 36 games over two seasons, averaging 3.4 points per game.
