PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a woman reportedly kidnapped by her husband with a gun in Phoenix has been found unharmed and the man has been arrested.

Witnesses told Phoenix police that a man fired shots from a car before forcing the woman into the vehicle Monday.

The witnesses said the woman then jumped out of the car, but the man forced her back inside.

The car then drove away and police were concerned about the woman’s welfare.

Police said the 34-year-old woman was found safe Tuesday, but her name and the identity of her 35-year-old husband weren’t immediately released.

They say the man told officers that he was upset after being told that his wife of 16 years wanted to leave him. The couple has two children.
