BELLMONT, N.Y. (AP) - State police say they’ve arrested a 10-year-old boy after he drove two construction vehicles into a ditch in northern New York.

Troopers say they responded Saturday night to a report of two vehicles off the road near a construction firm in the Franklin County town of Bellmont, located on the northern boundary of the Adirondack Park.

Employees told troopers that a bucket truck and a plow truck had been driven into a ditch near the company.

Police say both vehicles were parked in a garage when a 10-year-old boy Bellmont got into each one and drove them out. Troopers say he lost control of both vehicles and wound up in the ditch.

The boy was charged with grand larceny and criminal mischief. His case is being handled in family court.
