SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A Syracuse man with a history of arson arrests has pleaded guilty to setting a house fire that killed a 52-year-old woman last summer.

Time Warner Cable News reports (https://bit.ly/1GeuXCV ) that 57-year-old Patrick Kelley pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Police said surveillance footage from a video camera on a street in Syracuse showed Kelley lighting something on fire in June on the porch of a home where Beverly Palmteer lived. She was critically injured in the blaze died the following month at a Syracuse hospital.

Kelley is expected to receive 23 years to life in prison when he sentenced next month. He has a number of arson arrests and other criminal arrests dating back to the 1970s.
