HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a 14-year-old boy has been accused of setting fire to another 14-year-old boy in southwest Ohio.

Butler County’s prosecutor says the teen has been charged with juvenile counts of felonious assault, aggravated arson and obstructing official business. They stemmed from a Nov. 30 fire that injured 14-year-old Dylan Bellis, who is recovering from second- and third-degree burns to his arms and legs.

A prosecutor said Tuesday that witnesses lied when they said initially that a 17-year-old boy set the fire. Charges against him are expected to be dropped.

Authorities say Bellis was visiting a friend at a Liberty Township trailer park when he said he awoke in pain to find his clothing on fire.

A police spokeswoman said the fire may have resulted from a prank.
