CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and first lady Joanne Tomblin have sent out more than 24,000 holiday cards this season.

Officials say the card was designed in-house by the Department of Commerce’s office of communications.

It features an illustration of Christmas ornaments made up of snowflake designs and states “Happy Holidays From The Tomblins.”

The Charleston Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1z41k5O ) that the inside of the card features photos of West Virginia’s first family as well as well-wishes.

Marketing and Communications Director Chelsea Ruby says the total costs for printing, and for stuffing and addressing envelopes for the 24,200 holiday cards was $2,275. And the postage should run about $6,292.
