ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A state audit finds former Rapides Parish Coliseum Executive Director Kimberly Neal overpaid herself by more than $30,000 in nearly three years on the job.

According to the legislative audit released Monday, Neal paid herself 14 excess paychecks and 538 hours of unearned leave totaling $30,843. She also gave herself an unauthorized pay raise of $1 an hour, which resulted in $1,911 in earnings. The audit also found Neal under reported her earnings in 2011 by $9,449.

The Town-Talk reports (townta.lk/1obsdQs) Neal took over as executive director in August 2010 and initially earned strong reviews. Two years later, her job performance was being called into question. She resigned in February 2013, ahead of a scheduled pre-disciplinary meeting.
