POTSDAM, N.Y. (AP) - A former town court clerk in northern New York is accused of stealing more than $117,000 in fees and fines since 2009.

Mary Jo Guyette pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two felony counts accusing her of stealing from Potsdam Town Court. She has been the subject of a joint investigation between the state police and state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli’s office since June.

Guyette was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and released under the supervision of a probation officer until her next hearing in April.

The St. Lawrence County district attorney’s office will prosecute the case.
