CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Orders are being taken for the second of four commemorative medallions marking Nevada’s 150th anniversary of statehood.

The first set of medallions depicted the Nevada state seal. The second features a miner. All have the Nevada sesquicentennial logo on the back.

Each 1-ounce silver medallion is made from silver from the Coeur Rochester Mine near Lovelock and stamped on the historic Coin Press No. 1 at the Nevada State Museum. They are available for $100.50 each.

Copper medallions of similar design are being sold for $15.

Medallions can be ordered at the Legislative Gift Store or through its website.

Sales of the medallions help fund the Nevada 150 events and yearlong celebration. For more information about Nevada 150, go to nevada150.org.

Wells Fargo is the sponsor of the medallions.
