BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Henderson State rallied for a 5-4 win over defending national champion Central Oklahoma in college softball at the 8-State Softball Classic in Bentonville.

UCO led 3-0 after three innings and 4-2 in the sixth before HSU rallied for three runs to take the lead and hold on for the win.

The win was HSU’s only victory during the tournament as the Lady Reddies went 1-3 during the weekend with losses to Minnesota-Duluth, Central Missouri and Emporia State.

Henderson State will begin Great American Conference play on Friday by hosting East Central, Okla., in a four-game series beginning at 1 p.m. at Dee White Field.
