BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s congressional delegation says the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is getting a $450,000 federal grant.
The community block grant comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The purpose of the money is to assist with housing infrastructure, promote a suitable living environment and create economic opportunities. The program is designed for people with low or moderate income.
The Standing Rock Reservation straddles the North Dakota-South Dakota border.
