CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation says several sections of state roads will have reduced weight limits as winter turns to spring.

DOT Commissioner Christopher Clement says the limits occur every year as the warmer weather makes pavement more vulnerable to breaking up as frost finally gives way.

The maximum weight allowed on posted sections of state highways is 30,000 pounds.

Heating fuel and milk trucks are exempt with the approval of DOT engineers.

A list of roads can be found on the web at 511nh.com.
