OZARK, Ala. (AP) - Police have apprehended a teenager who faces a murder charge in the shooting death of another teen in Ozark.

The teen who was killed in Sunday night’s shooting was identified as 17-year-old Christian Markoff of Ozark.

Authorities say 18-year-old Quashawn Marquise Knight has been charged with murder in Markoff’s death. It wasn’t known early Tuesday whether Knight has a lawyer.

Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey said a 15-year-old, who has not been named, was taken into custody Monday and was being held at the Southeast Alabama Juvenile Diversion Center.

The Dothan Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1anOOpd ) that Markoff and one of the suspects were students at Carroll High School.

Spivey said they discovered a possible motive for the shooting, but he didn’t release the details.
