GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (AP) - A former Ottawa County corrections officer has pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct charges for his actions with two women he was guarding.

Thirty-nine-year-old Jonathan Kermeen made the plea Tuesday on the eve of his trial in circuit court. In exchange, prosecutors dropped a second charge.

Sentencing is March 10 in Grand Haven on the charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, which has a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.

MLive.com and WOOD-TV say Kermeen admitted the three contacts involving sexual touching with two inmates last fall at the jail in West Olive. He was fired shortly after the actions came to light.
