CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Becca Mills and Tori Jankoska each scored 22 points to lead No. 24 Michigan State in a 69-53 victory over Illinois on Wednesday night.

Michigan State (15-7, 7-2 Big Ten) racked up 41 points in the first half and jumped out to a 17-point lead at the break. Midway through the second half both teams went without a basket and combined to miss 10 shots over 3 minutes, after which the Spartans took their largest lead of the game at 23 points.

The Spartans shot 53.3 percent from the floor and held Illinois (9-13, 2-7) to 17-of-55 shooting from the field and 17.6 percent from 3-point range.
