BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - The Bossier District Attorney’s Office has turned over a $9,334 check to the Bossier City Police Department from property seized in more than a dozen drug investigations last year.

Assistant District Attorney Charles Jacobs presented Deputy Chief Jimmy Stewart with the check Tuesday.

The money represented assets seized from suspects in 13 narcotics investigations from June through October. Those assets include items such as cash, vehicles and other property.

The police department will use the money to cover future drug enforcement operations conducted in the city.
