ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Even-money favorite Fury Kapcori held off Midnight Transfer by 2¼ lengths Friday in the $60,000 allowance feature at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, the 4-year-old Fury Kapcori sat second in the early going dueled with long-shot early leader Batti Man on the final turn before breaking free and beating Midnight Transfer.

The winner ran a mile in 1:34.50.

Fury Kapcori won for fourth time in 12 career starts and paid $4, $2.60 and $2.20. Midnight Transfer returned $3.60 and $2.60, and Majestic City paid $2.80 to show.
