BOSTON (AP) - Gov. Deval Patrick is set to discuss criminal justice reform during an event at the University of Massachusetts.
Patrick will be the featured speaker at “Reform, Re-entry and Results: Change and Progress in the Massachusetts Criminal Justice System” on Feb. 20 at the UMass Boston Campus Center.
The event will include a discussion on how public opinion is changing on criminal justice reform in Massachusetts, including new poll results from Steve Koczela, president of The MassINC Polling Group.
Participants will include: Greg Torres, president of MassINC and publisher of Commonwealth magazine; Andrea Cabral, Massachusetts Secretary of Public Safety and Security; and attorney Max Stern, co-chair of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Reform Coalition.
