SITKA, Alaska (AP) - The search for a new school superintendent in Sitka has been narrowed to two candidates.

The Daily Sitka Sentinel reports (https://is.gd/Z7vDbz) the board has invited Mary Wegner of Sitka and Eddie Campbell of West Virginia to in-person interviews this coming week.

A third finalist, Joseph Krause of Larson Bay, had his in-person interview canceled by the board during Thursday’s meeting.

Wegner and Campbell will meet community members Wednesday night, and then be interviewed by board members on Thursday.
