ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - A Days Inn in northern Virginia was evacuated for a fire in a motel room, but no one was injured.

Arlington County firefighters were called to the motel on Columbia Pike just before noon on Monday. Fire department spokeswoman Sarah Marchegiani says one room was fully involved with flames, but it was not occupied at the time.

Another room had smoke damage. Fire investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.

The motel was evacuated, and workers have been removing smoke from the building.
