COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say they are not responding to company-monitored burglar alarms that are not registered or do not have renewed permits.

Police Lt. Brian Ritz says some people are upset, but police hands are tied by city laws.

According to KKTV-TV (https://tinyurl.com/lp2bjzk ), alarm companies are responsible for registering the alarms and paying a yearly $24 permit renewal.
