BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Buffalo are investigating after a vacationing family returned to find their home was the site of a destructive party they blame on their teenage cat sitter.

The Buffalo News (https://bit.ly/1iCILzX ) reports that homeowners Kristen Segebarth and Steven Binder found used condoms, vomit, urine and feces on beds, rugs and furniture and $6,000 in cash and jewelry missing.

The party happened on the watch of a 17-year-old they paid to watch their cats. Her classmates from City Honors High and another elite school in Buffalo attended the party.

The couple says they returned Dec. 27 but are only now telling their story because there’s been no resolution.

A lawyer for the teenage cat sitter, whose name hasn’t been released, says she can’t be held accountable for the actions of the nearly 50 partygoers.
