THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Lafourche Parish is under a curfew beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Parish President Charlotte Randolph and Sheriff Craig Webre ordered the curfew because of the icy weather hitting the state.

Thibodaux Mayor Tommy Eschete says the curfew is in effect until further notice. Officials say an end time for the curfew will be dependent upon road conditions.

Lafourche Parish schools will be closed Wednesday.
