PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday for northwest Oregon and southwest Washington where the temperature is expected to top out in the 90s.

KGW reports (https://bit.ly/1vrKMkb ) it’s unlikely to break the record high for July 1 at Portland International Airport of 105 degrees set in 1942.

Temperatures in the area are expected to drop back down in the 80s Wednesday through the Fourth of July.
