LEAKESVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Law enforcement agencies are looking for an inmate who escaped Tuesday from the South Mississippi Correctional Institution in Greene County.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections says 35-yerar-old Matthew Chester Tucker was discovered missing about 11:20 a.m. He had been on a work detail on the blueberry farm at the prison in Greene County.

Tucker was last seen wearing MDOC state-issued green and white striped pants with a white t-shirt. He is described as a white male with brown eyes, brown hair and weighs 145 pounds.

Tucker is serving a 10-year sentence for a conviction of kidnapping of a minor from Coahoma County.
