BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A challenged lone vote questioning whether employees of the Green Mountain Express bus company in Vermont will join the Teamsters Union has been resolved in favor of the union.

Now, it’s up to the bus company to appeal the National Labor Relations Board’s decision; it has until July 11.

Of the 22 drivers eligible to vote in May, 11 voted to join the union while 10 voted no. One ballot was challenged on the grounds that the person who cast it primarily handles other duties. The Bennington Banner reports ( the labor decision said she still drives when other drivers are behind schedule, absent, or if there’s a high demand.

Donna Baker, executive director of Green Mountain Community Network, which owns Green Mountain Express, didn’t return a call seeking comment.
