BYERS, Colo. (AP) - A three-day music festival near Byers has attracted a large crowd of opponents who say Riot Fest is too loud.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1o0EELG ) that a large crowd turned out to complain about the planned three-day music festival in September featuring The Cure, Rise Against, Primus and The Flaming Lips.

Riot Fest was held for the first time in Colorado last year at May Farms near Byers. It drew an estimated 15,000 ticket holders a day.

The Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners was hearing concerns about the festival Tuesday but did not plan to make an immediate decision.

Riot Fest organizer Max Wagner said the festival tries to be a good neighbor.

More than 17,000 tickets a day are expected to be sold at this year’s Riot Fest.
