INDIANOLA, Iowa (AP) - Firefighters from several departments fought a stubborn fire at an Indianola pet funeral home.

KCCI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1jGOUYo ) the fire began Tuesday morning at LovingRest Pet Funeral Home and spread to two buildings. The roof of one building partially collapsed.

Fighting the fire was complicated by the lack of hydrants, forcing crews to bring in water with tankers.

North Warren was helped by departments from Hartford, Carlisle, Norwalk and Des Moines.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Office manager Abby Martens says the funeral home will reopen Wednesday, as the business arranged to have pet cremations handled at a facility in Chicago.
