HINESBURG, Vt. (AP) - A swimmer is recovering after authorities say she was hit by a power boat on Lake Iroquois in Vermont.

Jane Marinksy was on her almost-daily swimming route Saturday, dragging a buoy to be visible to boaters.

The 62-year-old Marinksy was hit by the boat and the accident broke six of her ribs. She also has a broken sternum and a collapsed lung.

Still, her husband says she was released from the intensive care unit at Fletcher Allen Health Care on Monday, listed in fair condition.

The incident is under investigation.
