PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man is being held on $750,000 bond for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death last week.

Rodolfo Bojorquez had his initial court appearance Thursday on suspicion of second-degree murder.

He doesn’t have a lawyer yet.

The 23-year-old Bojorquez was pulled over July 3 by Gila River police, who noticed he had a bloody cloth wrapped around his neck that was covering puncture wounds on his neck.

Bojorquez told police he had been in a physical argument with his girlfriend.

Phoenix police went to Bojorquez’s apartment and say they found her dead in the living room, which was covered with blood stains.

An autopsy conducted by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s office showed the woman died from multiple stab wounds and the manner of her death was homicide.
