TOLLAND, Conn. (AP) - Four people have been critically injured in an accident on Interstate 84 eastbound in Tolland.

State police say a car carrying the four people went off the highway Thursday morning and crashed through a guardrail and into an embankment.

Authorities say the car overturned and two people were thrown from the vehicle.

Three helicopters were sent from Connecticut and Massachusetts to take airlift the injured from the scene.

All lanes have reopened.
