NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a man suspected of punching another man on a New York City street has been arrested after climbing onto the rooftop of a toll plaza on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Police say the 32-year-old man got into a dispute Tuesday in Manhattan. They say the victim taunted him and he then threw a single punch that left the man with a serious head wound. The incident was captured on a smartphone.

New Jersey State Police say that Corey Pohan, of Bergenfield, New Jersey, was being transported by NYPD detectives Wednesday when he got out of their car. Police say he was found hiding on the toll plaza roof and charged with criminal trespassing.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Charges in New York were pending.
