ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. (AP) - A large cargo plane is expected to slow morning traffic in front of Robins Air Force Base.

The Macon Telegraph reports (https://bit.ly/1r9CKMV ) an Air Force crew is scheduled to two a C-130 cargo plane Thursday morning to the aviation museum at the middle Georgia base. Base officials say the move should take about 90 minutes and could slow traffic on Ga. 247 in front of the base.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the route, with delays expected in the highway’s southbound lanes. Officials say northbound traffic shouldn’t be affected except when the plane gets turned to enter a gate at the museum.

The plane is being moved to a mock air base used for training.
