GALLATIN GATEWAY, Mont. (AP) - A 36-year-old woman was killed when the sport utility vehicle she was driving pulled in front of a mobile crane on U.S. Highway 191 near Gallatin Gateway, southwest of Bozeman.

Montana Highway Patrol Sgt. Pat McCarthy says the SUV pulled onto the highway in front of the crane just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The driver of the crane was unable to stop before hitting the SUV.

The Gallatin County sheriff’s office identified the victim as Bhu Sullivan of Gallatin Gateway.

The patrol says a 5-year-old girl in the back seat of the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries while the driver of the crane was unhurt.
