GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Three house fires kept firefighters busy in a southern New Jersey town.

Galloway Township police say lightning strikes are believed responsible for the fires that destroyed two homes on First Avenue Thursday.

A pot left on the stove is blamed for a third fire in a home on Snow Mass Court.

Police say no one was injured in the blazes.
