MIRAMAR, Fla. (AP) - Summer weather has brought daily rains and tons of mosquitoes to South Florida.

Broward County’s Mosquito Control Section will spray for mosquitoes Friday in the western part of the county. A county statement says this is a routine spray mission because of the high population of mosquitoes in the area.

The area to be sprayed includes small western portions of Southwest Ranches, Pembroke Pines and Miramar. The county statement adds that residents with breathing difficulties should remain indoors.

The sprays are done by truck and plane, based on requests from residents.
