WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A frequent candidate for public office in Delaware has been acquitted on child pornography charges.

A judge on Thursday ruled that prosecutors had not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that 64-year-old Richard Korn knew there were some 50 child porn images on his computer or that he ever viewed them.

The News Journal of Wilmington (https://delonline.us/1mFCZyk) reports that there was evidence that only one of the 50 images was ever viewed.

Korn’s attorney argued that his client’s former wife, Magda, had viewed that lone image.

The case began in 2012 when Magda Korn called police during a domestic dispute and told them her husband had child porn on his computer.

Before his arrest, Korn had been a candidate for state auditor, New Castle County executive and state legislature.
