BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota regulators have approved a natural gas processing plant in McKenzie County.

The $280 million Lonesome Creek plant will be 13 miles southwest of Watford City. The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1kL0HoF ) that the state Public Service Commission unanimously approved the project on Thursday.

The Oneok energy company estimates that as many as 400 jobs will be created during construction of the plant.

Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak says the plant will add needed processing capacity in the state. But Commissioner Randy Christmann says he worries about an increase in demand for electrical power in the oil patch.
