EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Police have officially closed their investigation into last year’s disappearance of a 24-year-old Eden Prairie woman whose body was found nearly six months later in central Minnesota.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1kMhJTr) reports hundreds of pages of police documents were released this week in the disappearance of Mandy Matula.

Matula disappeared May 1, 2013. Investigators determined that ex-boyfriend David Roe shot Matula in an Eden Prairie church parking lot before burying her body at a park near St. Cloud.

The next day, Roe fatally shot himself in the Eden Prairie police parking lot. Hundreds of volunteers and law officers searched for Matula. A hiker found her body in October.

Matula’s father, Wayne, says getting the file doesn’t bring the family much closure, since there were few details they didn’t already know.
