PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - An Aug. 27 trial date has been set for a Moss Point man indicted on 24 charges of child exploitation.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1lZAORN ) Michael Alan Angel waived his arraignment Thursday and entered a plea of not guilty.

Jackson County sheriff’s investigators arrested Angel at his home in October 2010 after a monthlong investigation.

Angel is accused of downloading numerous movies and photographs of children under age 18 engaged in sexual activity.

If convicted, he could go to prison for up to 40 years on each charge.
