BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Vacherie man in connection with the June 20 traffic death of 20-year-old LSU student Eric Fabre (FAH’-bray).

Police on Friday identified the suspect as 35-year-old Janneh L. Trench.

Fabre was riding his motorized scooter when, police say, a vehicle rear-ended the scooter. Fabre died. The driver fled.

Police found a burned vehicle believed to have been involved in the accident hours later.

Trench is wanted on charges of hit and run, reckless operation, obstruction of justice and operating a vehicle while under suspension.
