Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says the incident happened just after 3 a.m. Monday on the parking lot of a business in Miner, Missouri. Police received a call about a disturbance. Walter says a deputy arrived to find Lowery yelling and cursing.

Walter says that as the deputy tried to talk to Lowery, Lowery began advancing toward him and tried to hit the deputy with his fist. He was subdued with a stun gun. The deputy was not hurt.
