WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) - A Woonsocket police officer is being accused of biting a man’s ear during a premiere party for a reality TV show on which his wife is appearing.

Police tell WJAR-TV they have opened an internal affairs investigation into the actions of Officer Nick Guilmette, whose wife, Leha, was Mrs. Rhode Island 2013.

Connecticut state police said they were called to help break up the fight Sunday night at the Foxwoods Resort Casino, where a party was being held for the premiere of the Bravo show “Game of Crowns,” which follows married pageant contestants.

L. Brian Sebastian, of Ledyard, a Mashantucket tribal member whose wife, Vanassa, was Mrs. Connecticut 2012, allegedly struck Guilmette, who then bit him on the ear, state police told The Day of New London.

The entertainment website TMZ posted photos showing what it says is Sebastian’s bloody ear.

No arrests were made. Tribal police are investigating.

“At this point there is an active police investigation taking place between the state and tribal police and until the investigation is done we will not be commenting any further on this matter,” Bill Satti, a tribal spokesman, said in an email to The Day.

Bravo told WJAR that its cameras were not at the private party.
