MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a woman drowned in a boating accident on Powers Lake in northwest North Dakota.

Burke County Sheriff Michael Cude tells KXMC-TV (https://bit.ly/1wpvzRe ) that 41-year-old Carmen Skalicky died when a boat capsized in high winds on the lake.

Skalicky was one of four people in the boat when it overturned. Skalicky was trapped under the boat.

Cude says Skalicky was underwater for more than 40 minutes before being pulled out, and she could not be revived.
