BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a Jasper man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for a bank robbery and calling in bomb threats.

Authorities said Wednesday that 33-year-old Brandon Joseph Peake was sentenced for robbing a Walker County bank and calling in threats to a hospital and a highway bridge before the July 2013 robbery.

Prosecutors say Peake admitted to traveling to Tupelo, Mississippi days after the robbery to meet an acquaintance who sold him two firearms.
