BOSTON (AP) - An Iowa man authorities say pretended to be a professional photographer to persuade a Massachusetts woman to pose her 10-year-old daughter nude wants to withdraw his guilty plea.

According to documents filed in federal court in Boston, 32-year-old Joshua Dunfee of Oxford Junction, Iowa, said his court-appointed lawyers were ineffective and he wants to represent himself.

Dunfee pleaded guilty in March to charges including sexual exploitation of a child to produce child pornography.

The Sun Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1t2XOVJ ) reports that federal prosecutors oppose the motion, saying it is without merit and the evidence against Dunfee is “overwhelming.”

The judge has not ruled.

The Attleboro mother was sentenced in 2012 to three months in prison. She said she was looking for modeling work and met Dunfee online. She said she was duped.
