PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A lobbyist who gave a $10,000 personal loan to former House Speaker Gordon Fox in 2009 has indicated in filings with the secretary of state’s office that the entire amount was still outstanding as of the end of 2013.

Ray Rickman amended his 2011, 2012 and 2013 lobbyist disclosure filings last week to reflect what he calls a “Carryover Loan from 2009” that he gave to Fox. Fox was House majority leader at the time of the loan, but became House speaker in 2010.

Fox resigned his leadership position in March after the FBI, IRS and others raided his home and Statehouse office. He disclosed the Rickman loan last month in filings with the Ethics Commission.

The secretary of state’s office is investigating whether Rickman intentionally failed to disclose it.
