PONTOTOC, Miss. (AP) - A Pontotoc man is being held on $100,000 bond in connection with the hit-and-run death of 21-year-old Lequintray D. Williams, also of Pontotoc.

The Highway Patrol says the incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when two vehicles collided along Mississippi Highway 275 in Pontotoc County. Williams was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Investigators says they were told by witnesses that a black Dodge pick-up truck left the scene going south on Highway 345. The truck was found in Lee County near the Pontotoc County line.

Highway Patrol spokesman Warren Strain says 36-year-old Juan M. Hernandez was arrested Wednesday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a fatality. Hernandez is being held in the Pontotoc County Jail.
